Tennis Falls to Lake Forest on Saturday

MONMOUTH, Ill. (04/20/2025) — The Monmouth College men's tennis team dropped their regular season finale at home to Lake Forest 7-0 on Saturday.

Sawyer Day (Cupertino, California) and Matthew Savage (Washington, Illinois) played at #1 doubles and lost 6-0. At #2 doubles, Antonio Perez (St. George, Utah) and Macaden Sepich (Mackinaw, Illinois) lost 6-0. At #3 doubles, Andrew Nickols (Janesville, Wisconsin) and Alfonso Mares (Oak Lawn, Illinois) lost 6-0.

At #1 singles, Day lost 6-2, 6-0 while Savage lost at #2 singles 6-0, 6-0. Perez lost 6-1, 6-0 at #3 singles and Sepich lost 6-0, 6-0 at #4. Nickols lost 6-0, 6-0 at #5 while Mares lost 6-2, 6-0 at #6.

Monmouth heads to the Midwest Conference Singles and Doubles Championship next weekend in Wisconsin.
