Toberman, Anderson Compete at NCAA D3 National Championships
Toberman earns second team All-American status
MONMOUTH, Ill. (03/09/2024) — Monmouth College throwers Caleb Toberman (Clifton, Illinois) and Shane Anderson (Lisle, Illinois) competed in the weight throw at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships on Friday. Toberman earned second team All-American honors with a 15th place finish while Anderson finished 19th. Both were named USTFCCCA All-Region earlier this week.
Toberman, who also made it to nationals last year, was in flight one on Friday in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He threw 17.17m on his first throw and 17.98m in his second throw before fouling on his final attempt. Anderson was in flight two and fouled on his first two throws before landing a 16.85m throw on his final attempt. Neither made the 9-man finals, The winning throw was 21.64m.
The indoor championships conclude the indoor season. The Fighting Scots will begin their outdoor season at Central College on Thursday, March 2
