Toberman named MWC Field Performer of the Week

by Nathan Baliva

MONMOUTH, Ill. (02/13/2024) — For the third time in four weeks, Monmouth College senior Caleb Toberman (Clifton, Illinois) was named the Midwest Conference Field Performer of the Week for track and field.

Toberman won both of the throwing events at the Roger Haynes Invitational on Saturday and maintained his lead in both events in the MWC. With three other MWC teams at the event, Toberman won the weight throw at 18.43m and threw 15.21m to win the shot put. The Scots went 1-2-3 in the shot put and 1-2 in the weight throw.

Toberman has been named Field Performer of the Week three times this season and Shane Anderson (Lisle, Illinois) won the award in December. The Scots compete on Friday at Illinois College in the final meet before the MWC Indoor Championships (Feb 23-24).
