Track & Field Teams Earn Individual & Team Academic Honors
MONMOUTH, Ill. (07/20/2026) — The Monmouth College track and field teams both earned All-Academic Team status from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) this week. In addition, four individuals earned All-Academic Athlete status.
The Monmouth women's team posted an impressive 3.52 GPA for the spring semester, easily surpassing the 3.10 requirement. Except for the COVID year, the women have won the award every season since 2018. Meanwhile, the men's team posted a 3.11 GPA to earn the honor for a second straight year.
Individually, student-athletes must post at least a 3.30 GPA for the semester while also ranking among the top 50 individuals in their event or qualify for the NCAA Division III National Championships. This year the Scots had four individual winners: Kayla Braun (Evansville, Illinois), Kaden Foglesong (Ipava, Illinois), Blake Orwig (Wyoming, Illinois) and Jillian Toth (El Paso, Illinois).
Braun and Toth are repeat honorees and Braun was also All-Academic in 2024, The four individual honors are tied with last year for the most for the Fighting Scots since the 2021 season.
