Women's Soccer Drops MWC Match at Lake Forest

MONMOUTH, Ill. (10/19/2024) — The Monmouth College women's soccer team fell 7-0 at Lake Forest on Saturday. The Scots (3-8-3, 1-3-1) gave up five goals in the first half in the conference loss.

Lake Forest scored the opening goal in the 19th minute and made it 2-0 in the 27th minute. They scored three goals in nine minutes to lead 5-0 at the break.

The Foresters scored twice in the second half with a goal in the 55th minute and the final goal in the 69th minute.

Danielle Beach (Geneseo, Illinois) had Monmouth's lone shot on goal while Mariah Hobson (Princeton, Illinois) took a shot. Anna Caster (Greenfield, Indiana) made 12 saves as Lake Forest took 33 shots, 19 on goal.

MONMOUTH MOMENTS: Avery Parks (Bloomington, Illinois) played all 90 minutes and has played every minute this season ... Monmouth used 21 players ... Lake Forest has won four straight against Monmouth and leads the all-time series 20-7-1 ... The Scots play Tuesday at Knox with a 4 p.m. start ... The next home game is against Ripon at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 26.
