Women's Swim Team Posts Highest GPA in Nation for D3

by Nathan Baliva

MONMOUTH, Ill. (01/21/2026) — The Monmouth College women's swimming team posted the highest GPA in the nation for any Division III swimming program in the fall with a 3.87 team GPA. The Fighting Scots have been recognized as a Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

"This is a huge achievement for our women," said head coach Jake Dacus. "From early morning practices to late night weekend study sessions they truly embody what it means to be a student-athlete. They had an outstanding fall semester in the pool but this accomplishment puts a huge exclamation point on their semester and I couldn't be more proud of them."

The team had nine student-athletes who competed in the fall semester and contributed to the nation-leading GPA. Nora Collins (Hopedale, Illinois), Nicole Fitch (Marengo, Illinois), Claire LaBadie (Griffith, Indiana), Lea Schmitt (Rockford, Illinois), Addie Smith (Monmouth, Illinois), Caitlyn Stewart (Monmouth, Illinois), Cally Tate (Monmouth, Illinois), Allie Warren (Galesburg, Illinois) and Addie Zamora (Arma, Kansas).

Tate and Fitch are seniors while Smith and LaBadie are juniors. Schmitt, Stewart and Warren are sophomores while Collins and Zamora are freshmen.

The swim teams are back in action at home on Friday with Senior Night at 5 p.m. against Millikin.
