Women Start MWC Championships With Fourth Best Medley Relay in MC History

MONMOUTH, Ill. (02/20/2026) — The Monmouth College swim teams started the Midwest Conference Championships on Thursday night in Grinnell with two relays. The women are tied for fourth place after delivering a top 10 swim in school history and the men are in sixth place.

WOMEN
In the 200 medley relay, Cally Tate (Monmouth, Illinois), Allie Warren (Galesburg, Illinois, Stewart (Monmouth, Illinois) and Nora Collins (Hopedale, Illinois) delivered the fourth-best result in school history at 1:55.22. They finished in fifth place and scored 32 points.

In the 800 freestyle relay, Stewart, Warren, Addie Smith (Monmouth, Illinois) and Nicole Fitch (Marengo, Illinois) finished fifth in 8:21.75 to earn 32 points. They missed their fourth-ranked result from this event at last year's MWC Championships by 0.05 seconds.

With 64 points the Scots are tied for fourth with newcomer MSOE. Grinnell is in first place with 82 points.

MEN

In the men's 800 freestyle relay, Jordan Bridgford (Kapolei, Hawaii) Luke Foster (Galesburg, Illinois), Kody Coyne (Bluffton, Indiana) and Bucket Youvan (Rochester, Indiana) finished sixth in 7:31.37. They earned 30 points in the relay.

In the 200 medley relay, Foster, Coyne, Tariq McLarty (South Holland, Illinois) and Ethan Main (Oneida, Illinois) finished sixth in 1:41.20 to pick up another 30 points.

The Scots are in sixth place with 60 points, six behind Illinois College and St. Norbert. Grinnell leads with 88 after winning both races.

MONMOUTH MOMENTS: The MWC Championships continue on Friday with the 500 freestyle, 200 IM, 50 freestyle and 200 free relay ... The prelims are at 10 a.m. with the top nine in each event advancing to the finals at 5:30 p.m.
