Boley, Cox, Villarreal Deliver Top 10 Monmouth Performances at Millikin Invite

Boley, Cox, Toberman, Hoyer win events

MONMOUTH, Ill. (04/29/2023) — The Monmouth College track and field teams competed at the Big Blue Friday Night meet hosted by Millikin in Decatur, Illinois on Friday. The Scots pulled off a couple individual wins and also saw three more entries into the top 10 school records.

Women
Maddie Boley (Beecher, Illinois) won the discus with a career best throw of 44.45m. That effort ranks seventh on the Monmouth career list and has Boley in the top 15 nationally. Amanda Dybal (Apex, North Carolina) finished second with a career-best throw of 41.66m.

Addi Cox (Morton, Illinois) won the hammer throw with a career-best effort of 48.52m. She ranks ninth on the Scots career list. Boley finished second in the shot put with a career-best throw of 12.62m and teammate Kayla Braun (Evansville, Illinois) was third with a career-best 12.46. Cox was fourth in the shot put at 11.69m.

Nicole Hoyer (Montgomery, Illinois) won the 400m in a season-best 1:04.95. Carina Engst (Bloomington, Illinois) was second in a career-high 1:05.09.

Alyssa Villarreal (Galesburg, Illinois) took second in the long jump with a career-high 5.47m. That performance ranks ninth in Monmouth history.

Delaney Rexroat (Monmouth, Illinois) took third in the triple jump with a career-high 10.36m. Miranda Hursey (Hanna City, Illinois) was fourth in the pole vault at 3.05m.

The Monmouth 4x100m relay team of Hursey, Villarreal, Linsey Turner (Elburn, Illinois) and Maddie Rusk (Annawan, Illinois) took second in 50.57 seconds.

Men
Caleb Toberman (Clifton, Illinois) won the shot put with a season-best of 13.78m. He also took second in the hammer at 50.38m and second in the discus with a season-best 42.06m. Blake Orwig (Wyoming, Illinois) was third in the shot put with a career-best of 13.33m.

Maurice Greene (Galesburg, Illinois) took third in the triple jump with a season-best 12.98m. Neo Colter (Geneseo, Illinois) was fourth in the 3000m steeplechase in 10:45.44. Reed Bona (Dyersburg, Tennessee) was fourth in the 400m hurdles at 1:01.55

The 4x100m relay men's team got second with Bona (Dyersburg, Tennessee), Lane Grice (East Galesburg, Illinois), Luke Jachimiec (Aurora, Illinois) and Adrian Outlaw (Galesburg, Illinois) finishing in 43.40 seconds.The 4x400m relay team of Bona, Outlaw, Eli Newton (Dallas City, Illinois) and Patrick Curry (Chicago, Illinois) finishing in 3:29.11.

NEXT UP:

The Scots host seven other teams next Saturday in the Fighting Scots Invitational at April Zorn Stadium. The meet starts with the field events at 10:30 a.m. The Fighting Scots seniors will be honored at 11:45 a.m. with the track events starting at Noon.
