Five Monmouth College Students Inducted into National Political Science Honor Society

College installs 20th class of students into Pi Sigma Alpha.

MONMOUTH, Ill. (04/27/2022) — Five Monmouth College students were inducted Tuesday morning into Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honor society.

Undergraduates who are inducted into Pi Sigma Alpha don't have to be political science majors to qualify for membership, but they must have completed at least one-half of the credits required for a degree; they must have completed at least 10 semester credits with an average grade of B or higher in those courses; and they must have achieved an overall GPA placing them in the top one-third of their class.

Tuesday's ceremony was the 20th induction ceremony for the Monmouth chapter, which has inducted more than 90 members into Pi Sigma Alpha.

The five new members inducted at Monmouth were: Cal Bigham '23 of of Aledo, Illinois; Shay Hafner '23 of Sterling, Illinois; Ana Laura Iatauro '24 of Sal Paulo, Brazil; Halle Majdich '23 of Galesburg, Illinois; and Olivia Postin '24 of Avon, Illinois.
