Hansen is First Female Ever Named to D3football.com Team of the Week

by Nathan Baliva

MONMOUTH, Ill. (09/16/2025) — Monmouth College place kicker Mylee Hansen (Pekin, Illinois) earned another honor on Tuesday as she became the first female ever selected to the prestigious D3football.com Team of the Week.

Hansen is Monmouth's first D3football.com Team of the Week selection since Anthony Cikauskas (Oswego, Illinois) made the team in week 9 of the 2023 season. The Scots had three selections in 2023 as Tevin Baker and Nate Thornton also earned the honor. The last time Monmouth had a kicker on the D3football.com Team of the Week was Joey Biel in 2019. Hansen is the third Monmouth kicker all-time to make the team as Nate Palkovic earned the honor in 2007.

"I'm really happy for Mylee getting the recognition for all the hard work she has put into her kicking," said head coach Chad Braun. "She had a tremendous offseason and it is paying off."

Hansen scored nine points on Saturday, a MWC and Monmouth record for a female. She was perfect on all five kicks with field goals from 21 and 30 yards plus three extra points in Monmouth's 78-7 win over Lawrence.
