Program to offer insights into Monmouth College's Educational Garden, Market Farm

Monmouth, IL (05/09/2018) — The final Monmouth Associates program of the academic year will focus on the work being done by students at Monmouth College's Educational Garden and Market Farm.

Faculty member Craig Watson and student members of his Garden Crew will speak at noon May 17 in the Whiteman-McMillan Highlander Room of the College's Stockdale Center.

Among the topics will be recent initiatives at the garden and farm, as well as new challenges. Watson and his students will also discuss the growing circle of customers, collaborators and community friends who support their endeavors.

The cost for a buffet lunch is $10 ($9 for Monmouth faculty and staff). Reservations should be made by May 15 by calling 309-457-2231 or emailing alumni@monmouthcollege.edu.

A free shuttle van transports passengers from two locations to every Associates luncheon. The van stops at the northeast quadrant of the Public Square at 11:45 a.m. and at the Faith United Presbyterian Church parking lot at around 11:50 a.m. It returns to both locations immediately following the program.

Shuttle reservations can be made also by calling 309-457-2231.
