Women's Track & Field Team Earms Academic Honors

Boley, Braun, Orwig Named Scholar Athletes

MONMOUTH, Ill. (07/16/2024) — The Monmouth College track and field teams have been recognized by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for academic success over the course of the 2023-24 season.

The women's program was honored as a USTFCCCA Division III Track & Field All-Academic Team with a team GPA of 3.61, while also placing Maddie Boley (Beecher, Illinois) and Kayla Braun (Evansville, Illinois) as USTFCCCA Division III Track & Field All-Academic Athletes. On the men's side, Blake Orwig (Wyoming, Illinois) earned the individual honor.

The criteria for being named a USTFCCCA Division III Track & Field All-Academic Team is as follows:

  • Cumulative team GPA of all student-athletes who used a season of eligibility must be at least a 3.1 on a 4.0 scale through the most recent semester.


The criteria for being named a USTFCCCA Division III Track & Field All-Academic Athlete are as follows:

  • Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.10 on a 4.0 scale through the most recently completed grading period.
  • Must have finished the indoor or outdoor season ranked among the top 50 individuals as listed on TFRRS.
