Brown Named All-Region First Team
MONMOUTH, Ill. (03/16/2026) — Monmouth College men's basketball player Zay Brown (Peoria, Illinois) was named First Team All-Region (Region 9) by D3hoops.com on Monday. He is Monmouth's first player to earn back-to-back All-Region selections after being on the second team for D3hoops last year.
He led the Midwest Conference at 9.7 rebounds per game this season and ranked third in scoring at 19.8 points per game. He also ranked fourth in blocks per game at 1.1 and third in minutes played. Brown scored at least 11 points in Monmouth's first 25 games and set Monmouth records for consecutive double digits games in a season and career.
Brown was the Midwest Conference Player of the Week and a selection to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week on January 20 after scoring a career-high 34 points against Grinnell. Brown's 515 points on the season ranks sixth in MC history while he also finished the year ranked fourth in field goals made and 10th in rebounding.
