Monmouth, Ill. (09/15/2022) — Monmouth College will welcome the families of its students to campus this weekend, offering a variety of entertaining activities.

Family Weekend highlights on Friday, Sept. 16, include the performance of comedian juggler Marcus Monroe at 7 p.m. in Dahl Chapel and Auditorium.

The next event in the College's Great Lecture Series will be held at 11 a.m. in Room 276 of the Center for Science and Business. Regina Johnson '01, who serves as Monmouth's director of student equity, inclusion and community, will speak about the life and legacy of Champion Miller, for whom the College's Champion Miller Center for Student Equity, Inclusion & Community is named.

Also beginning at 11 a.m., inflatables, games and a cookout will be held on the Quad.

Several Fighting Scots athletic teams have home contests during Family Weekend, including the football team, which will kick off at 1 p.m. Saturday at April Zorn Memorial Stadium against Illinois College. The Fighting Scots Marching Band will perform at halftime.

The women's tennis team will host Lake Forest at 9 a.m. Saturday, and the men's and women's golf teams will compete Saturday and Sunday at Gibson Woods as they host the Fighting Scot Invitational.
