Scots' Morrill Runs to Weekly League Honor
Monmouth, IL (09/17/2019) — A near program course record has earned Monmouth's Griff Morrill (Sugar Grove, Ill./West Aurora) this week's Midwest Conference Performer of the Week award in men's cross country.
For the second straight meet, Morrill finished in the top three. The junior finished third at Saturday's Les Duke Invitational, clocking a 26:58.2, just eight seconds off the winning time to lead Monmouth to a fifth-place team finish in the field of 16 teams.
An exercise science major, Morrill is the son of Stephen and Diane Morrill.
