MONMOUTH, Ill. (04/16/2026) — The Monmouth College athletic department announced on Thursday that alum Allison "Izy" Todd has been named the new women's basketball head coach. Coach Todd, who graduated from Monmouth in 2018, has spent the last two seasons as Director of Operations for the Division I University of North Dakota women's basketball team.

"We are pleased to have Allison Todd return to campus to lead the women's basketball program," said Director of Athletics Roger Haynes. "She brings a wealth of basketball experience to our program from many levels."

Prior to spending two seasons on the staff at North Dakota, Todd was the Associate Head Coach at Division II Lake Superior State in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. She spent five seasons with the Lakers, helping multiple players to All-Conference selection and also having the GLIAC Freshman of the Year in 2022-23. Todd also coached the JV team while at Lake Superior State.

Todd began her collegiate coaching career at Southeastern Community College in Keokuk, Iowa with one season as an assistant coach. She was also the Student Activities Coordinator and Residence Life Advisor at SECC. While attending Monmouth, Todd worked at Point Guard College, one of the nation's leading basketball education camps. She served as both an instructor and an intern at PGC in the summers of 2015-19.

A native of Shannon, Illinois, Todd played high school basketball at Eastland HS. She played four seasons at Monmouth with 83 games played and 28 career starts. Todd averaged 2.7 ppg, 1.8 rpg and shot 32.2 percent from 3-point range for her career. Her most productive season on the court as a Fighting Scots player was her junior year of 2016-17 when she started 23 games and averaged 5.0 ppg while making 30 3-pointers. That season included a career-high 13 points against Lawrence, seven rebounds against Lake Forest and a Beloit game in which she made four 3-pointers. She was a captain for the 2017-18 team as a senior

Todd graduated from Monmouth in 2018 with a degree in business administration and economics. While on campus she was the women's basketball SAAC rep and also a member of the Monmouth College Accounting Society and V.I.T.A Program.
