Scots Volleyball Wins Twice Saturday
MONMOUTH, Ill. (09/05/2021) — The Monmouth Scots volleyball team won a pair of matches Saturday at the Illinois College Invitational. Both matches were delayed past their scheduled start times due to long matches throughout the day. Stats were not immediately provided for either match but will be posted at MonmouthScots.com as soon as they are available.
The Scots beat Blackburn College in five sets in their first match of the day. Monmouth will play Blackburn again at the Millikin Tournament on Sept. 17 and a third meeting will take place in Carlinville, Illinois on Oct. 19.
On Saturday the Scots played Concordia University-Chicago in their second match and won 16-25, 29-27, 25-22, 25-11.
The Scots are now 4-1 on the young season after going 3-1 at the tournament in Jacksonville. They will host Eureka College on Wednesday with a 7 p.m. start time at Glennie Gym.
