Season-Low Carded by Scots' Men at Eagle Invite
Monmouth, IL (09/30/2019) — The Monmouth men's golf team's progression toward their spring season got a boost Sunday when the Scots fired their best 18-hole team score of the fall season.
Ben Dobberstein recorded his season-best and freshman Ryan Prusak matched the score to lead Monmouth to a 336 total and an eighth-place finish at the Benedictine Eagle Fall Invitational. Playing on the St. Andrews Golf Course in West Chicago, Dobberstein and Prusak carded a pair of 81s. Noah Shields and Max Cook posted scoring rounds with an 86 and 88, respectively. Jimmy Johnson's 91 narrowly missed a team scoring total. Golfing as an individual, Jakob Brokaw toured the course with an 88.
The Scots have a pair of meets left in their fall campaign, playing Tuesday at the Iowa Wesleyan Fall Classic and Oct. 13 at the SLIAC Fall Preview at Gateway National Golf Course near St. Louis.
