MONMOUTH, Ill. (03/22/2026) — The Monmouth College women;s tennis team won at Principia 5-2 on Saturday. The Fighting Scots (2-11) swept the doubles and won four singles matches in their final match of the 2025-26 season.

With Ivana Stefanova (Streamwood, Illinois) unavailable, Natalie Labicki (Antioch, Illinois) teamed with Kimber Calvert (Paris, Illinois) to win at No. 1 doubles 6-1. Natalie Holst (Rock Island, Illinois) and Tiah Riggs (Vincennes, Indiana) won 6-3 at No. 2 doubles while Alayna McKinley (Rock Island, Illinois) and Madison Springer (Galesburg, Illinois) won 6-3 at No. 3 doubles.

"Securing the doubles point in a sweep was a great start and the team stepped up today without Ivana at the top," said head coach Brian Dahlstrom.

Labicki dropped the opening set 6-4 at No. 1 singles but rallied to win the second set 7-5. She fought off multiple match points to win a marathon tiebreaker 14-12 and clinch the match. With two wins on Saturday, Labicki moved past Amy Unzicker (2008-10) for fourth on the career combined wins list. Labicki has 55 total wins in her career, 31 in doubles and 24 in singles. She ranks fourth in MC history in career doubles wins and sixth in singles wins.

"What a comeback by Natalie to win that match and clinch the meet," said Dahlstrom. "She did a great job and it was a crazy, exciting tiebreak.

Holst won 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3 singles while McKinley picked up her first career singles win with a 10-4 tiebreaker at No. 4 singles. She won the second set 6-4 after dropping the opener in a 7-6 tiebreak. Riggs won at No. 5 singles 6-2. 6-1.

"Holst used her consistency and aggressive groundstrokes to put us back on top and our depth really came through with Riggs winning at five," said Dahlstrom. "And another great comeback by Alayna and it is fantastic for her to get her first singles win."
