by Nathan Baliva

MONMOUTH, Ill. (10/20/2025) — Monmouth College junior running back Nate Wrublik (Lemont, Illinois) was named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week on Monday. This is the fourth week in a row the Scots have won the MWC Offensive Performer of the Week award and marks the eighth football MWC award overall this season

Wrublik had a record-setting day for Monmouth in a 45-3 win over Cornell for Saturday's Homecoming win. He set the school single-game record with five rushing touchdowns while also setting a career high with 163 rushing yards. Wrublik carried the ball 24 times and averaged 6.8 yards per carry. He scored on runs of 5, 1, 1 and 14 in the first half and put the Scots on top 38-3 with a 3-yard TD run in the third quarter.

Wrublik moved into 15th on the Monmouth career rushing list, passing 2024 teammate McKade Brooks and he also moved past five players and into sixth on the career touchdowns list with 29. Wrublik had his seventh career 100-yard rushing game, breaking a tie with Trent Rains for fourth most in MC history and he is the 17th player to have at least 300 career carries.

The Scots play at Beloit on Saturday with a 1 p.m. kickoff and the next home game is Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. against Ripon.
